Dr. Lars Rossen

Fellow, CTO Office at Micro Focus

Lars Rossen is a Micro Focus Fellow working as the chief cross-portfolio architect in the CTO office. His current focus area is the convergence of Agile, Security and Operations aka DevSecOps. Lars created the first version of the IT4IT Reference Architecture when he worked in Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and this formed the basis for the standard in The Open Group. In Micro Focus this is the basis for blueprinting the development of the end to end integration of the Micro Focus portfolio of products. Lars is a Board member of the Open Group.

Before his current role in the CTO office he was part of the core team that defined HPEs CloudSystem strategy and associated solution portfolio. Prior to this Lars headed up HP’s Operational Support System practice for Europe, Middle East and Africa. This was after HP acquired Netman in 2004 where he was the CTO.

Lars holds an MS in engineering, an executive MBA with focus on technology management, and a PhD in computer science from the Technical University of Denmark.

Jerry Saelemakers

Presales Manager Devops/ADM Northern Europe at Micro Focus

Jerry Saelemakers is Team Leader for the Micro Focus DevOps Presales unit in Northern Europe & South-Africa.
Building on over 19 years of extensive Software Quality knowledge, he delivers insights on solutions and services that meet or predict the future needs of organizations.
He started his career at Mercury Interactive in 1999, the market leader in testing software, and has worked in various supporting and consultative positions, supporting customers and teams by providing them optimal, world-class Application Delivery solutions.

Jerry Saelemakers holds a degree in Computer Sciences. In his personal life, he is passionate about new technologies, electronics, exotic holidays, and cooking.
He is Belgian and speaks fluent Dutch, English, French, and has notions of German.

Application Modernization and Connectivity (AMC)

Simon Musgrave

Presales & PS Leader International, AMC (Application Modernization & Connectivity) at Micro Focus

Simon is the presales and professional services leader for the International operation at Micro Focus.  He has been working in the field of application modernization for over 30 years, using that experience to help guide customers in achieving their business objectives through modernization.  His career started back in 1986 at a Services organization, one of the then UK big six.  Moving to a software distributor focused on Expert Systems, Application Generators and Development Productivity tools. 

Since 1993 he has been a senior Manager involved with Software and Services supporting Application Modernization.  He has defined and refined approaches to achieve business modernization objectives in a repeatable and predictable manner.  This work has involved major, global blue chip companies, involving the analysis of systems, the preparation and submission of business cases through the deployment and successful completion of the modernization initiatives.

Simon has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick.

Martin Sundblad

Research Manager at IDC

Martin Sundblad joined IDC in 2017 and is Research Manager for Nordic Enterprise Processes and Future of Work and leads the European Skills Practice. With a long career in ICT, he has covered many aspects of industry analysis and product and portfolio management at companies such as Oracle, Ericsson, and Wipro.

Sundblad leads the European skills practice and Nordic applications & processes program at IDC, focusing on how operational processes and applications change under digital transformation, and how skills development drives the market value of enterprises.

Bob Ellsworth

Director, Mainframe Transformation, Azure Applications and Infrastructure Solutions at Microsoft

Bob Ellsworth leads the Mainframe Transformation program. This includes managing an ecosystem of Mainframe Transformation partners, enabling field sellers, engaging with Mainframe customers as a trusted advisor, and driving marketing and awareness of Microsoft’s Mainframe Transformation offerings. Bob joined Microsoft in February 2001 as a Director in the Windows Server Product Management Group.

Bob has 30 years of experience working with Enterprise customers on the IBM and Amdahl Mainframe platforms. He has worked on operating system and virtualization technologies since 1971 with IBM’s MVT, MVS, MVS/XA, MVS/ESA, z/OS, VM/370, VM/XA, z/VM and PR/SM technologies. Bob is applying his Mainframe knowledge to ensure that Microsoft and our partners help transform our Mainframe Customers.
